Green light for a new environmentally-friendly office building ".CORE" in the heart of Brussels.
Eaglestone Belgium and ION announce that they have obtained planning permission for their ".CORE" project: a new emblematic and sustainable development in the heart of Brussels. By acquiring the former Embuild headquarters in June 2022, their ambition is to transform this strategic location into a contemporary office building with exemplary energy and environmental performance.
"CORE" stands out for its privileged location in the heart of the historic district of Brussels, with a breathtaking view of the Grand Place and the Brussels Parliament. Designed by Brussels-based architectural firm A2RC, the project retains the emblematic architectural identity designed by Marcel Lambrichs in 1970, with an exterior of prefabricated concrete.
With 8,400 m² spread over 9 levels, ".CORE" aims to be an innovative and sustainable workplace. The project features a rooftop with exceptional views, an atrium that encourages interaction, and an interior that combines wood, glass and concrete to create a warm and elegant space.
With its strong commitment to sustainable development, ".CORE" is aiming for certifications such as BREEAM Outstanding, Well (Platinum ready), WiredScore (Platinum), and is committed to carbon neutrality and the complete withdrawal of fossil fuels. Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2025.
